Our Mission

We believe in giving back.

Did you know that 90% of the Brazilian workforce that lives in "favelas" are women? Due to poor health care and lack of birth control, most are mothers. They earn Brazil's minimum wage of US$242/month working 48 hour weeks. 

After searching thorougly for a non-profit that supports women in Brazil, there were none that fit our criterias. That's why 10% of sales is saved until we reach are able to open a non-profit in Brasil. The non-profit will include food and clothing donations with a focus on single, low-income mothers. Once we grow our business and are able to give more, we will add other supported services such as; better health care and birth control, courses to develop entrepreneurial skills and support for women in abusive relationships and sex-trafficking.

We believe that it’s time to revolutionize the way women view themselves. 

Our society still has a set of ideas about how we expect women to dress, behave, and present themselves. You should feel GREAT about yourself and not have to worry about what others are thinking because the only opinion that matters is YOURS. We also believe that we participate in a healthy lifestyle in order to feel good about ourselves. 

We believe in quality over quantity. We do not drop ship. That's why our items are very limited.

 Who We Are 

JADE VUCINA - CEO, Founder and single mother of two boys.

Born and raised in Pacific Grove, CA by parents of brazilian and croatian descent, she moved to Brazil right after high school. Instead of going to college, she started her first business at the age of 19, a surf shop on Maresias Beach. It was there that she fell in love with the warm water, and tropical lifestyle. 

As a previous member of a competitive swimming team in CA and lifeguard team in Maresias, she has always found a way to stay active and eat healthy even with two active boys. She believes it’s important to have a good balance and love yourself for who you are, but to also take action and strive to do your best everyday. 

As the steward of Maresias’ vision, brand and sales, Jade is invigorated by work that breaks barriers and paves the way for societal advancements.
